A novelty piece works best when the surrounding arrangement is simple enough that its shape can be recognized immediately.

2. Build a small display around the color

Choose the White or Black option that best fits the surroundings. A contrasting background can make the figure easier to see; a matching background can create a quieter look. Avoid cropping away the part that makes the character recognizable. Review the arrangement after a week and simplify anything that feels crowded.
